The Stacks Foundation announced that the Stacks Core Developers have selected Bitcoin block number #864864 for the Nakamoto hard fork, scheduled for October 9th. This will be a monumental moment for Stacks, enabling 5 second transactions and paving the way for sBTC, which plans to go multi-chain to Aptos and Solana.

Here’s a snapshot of active users and transactions across key Stacks DeFi protocols. ALEX, Velar and Bitflow continue to lead the way.
